This two-story apartment building was added to the inventory of the Soft Weak or Open Front Story Buildings in accordance with the City of Berkeley ordinance BMC19.39. In the course of the preparation of the seismic evaluation report, it was determined that the building was not subject to the Soft story Ordinance because it has less than 5 units. We informed the City of Berkeley, and the building was removed from the inventory without any retrofit.
